Industrial Chic Chandeliers created for installation in the STK Out restaurant in the Revel Casino Hotel
The Industrial Chic Chandeliers featured a lighting design created for installation in the STK Out restaurant in the Revel Casino Hotel, which is now called the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City. The client needed delivery in 6 weeks for custom lighting fixtures for 5 high-end restaurants and we were required to interface with 3 different design firms and supply drawings within a week. In all, 18 different fixture types, in quantities from 1 to 12 each, were designed and built, and delivered. The challenge was to source materials such as glass and fiber optic components in a timely manner, given the short lead-times, without sacrificing performance or quality. Our sourcing capabilities and experience proved up to the challenge.
The original inspiration for the Industrial Chic family was a $120,000 museum piece. A true craftsman special, the concept was transformed from the hand sketch of the I Crave Design Firm, and later we tested several materials and design schemes before its approval. Our fabricators were able to create a real metal sculpture of light that received high praise from the client and guests as well. Our designers and engineers used this inspiration to create a cluster of 3 Industrial Chic fixtures, each hand-welded and finished in Stainless Steel. Smoked Glass globe shades suspended around a center column were Blackened and faded to Clear-coated spikes that seem to float in air. Each chandelier was 48 inches wide and 39 inches long.
